Non-Ablative Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Non-Ablative Laser Skin Rejuvenation

Not all lasers are the same. They fall into two categories; ablative and non-ablative. Traditionally, a laser works by vaporizing the top layer of the skin to remove blemishes, scars and wrinkles. Lasers that remove the top layer of the skin are called ablative lasers and include erbium and CO2 lasers. Non-Ablative Laser Skin Rejuvenation are used to create healthier skin without damaging the outer layers of the skin. There is no downtime associated with these procedures.

The Non-Ablative Laser Skin Rejuvenation is FDA approved for wrinkle reduction, increases collagen, minimizes scaring, pore size, redness & sun damaged skin for a more vibrant youthful appearance for men & women by treating those conditions that are typically associated with premature signs of aging such as unsightly facial veins, redness and sun damaged skin.

Non-ablative laser therapy using either the CoolTouch®or NLite® lasers is intended to improve the appearance of fine lines/wrinkles or depressed scars. Non-ablative laser treatment uses an intense beam of light to gently stimulate the production of new collagen while bypassing the outer layer of skin. This stimulated collagen growth may improve skin tone, acne scarring and fine wrinkles. Over time the skin may gradually “rebuild” from the inside to restore a more youthful appearance and feel, as the new collagen softens the appearance of aging skin and scars.

Non-ablative (or “non-wounding”) laser skin rejuvenation involves gentler laser technology that does not remove skin, and results in minimal downtime and recovery. Non-ablative laser therapy generally requires a series of treatments to achieve maximum benefits.
