Boscia is a preservative-free, botanically-based Skincare brand. Boscia products were created by Fancl Corporation. Based in Yokohama, Japan, the company was founded by Kenji Ikemori, a Japanese entrepreneur who has dedicated his career to developing effective skincare solutions. Boscia offer products ranging from cleansers, moisturizers, treatment (anti-aging, age spots, blemishes, pore minimizing, sun care and etc) to blotting linens, makeup, and body care. Boscia web site says with the irritating preservatvies free formula, they created innovative procedures (award-winning manufacturing process) to extend product lifespan. They said boscia products have all been tested for freshness for three years from the date of fill. They also said they use anti-septic ingredients which can increase product shelf life without the harsh effects to the skin like preservatives such as paraben.
Boscia official web site states that Mr. Ikemori envisioned a holistic approach to skincare that would include botanically-based, preservative-free products as well as oral supplements. Each of the boscia skincare products, with the exception of Blotting Linens, contain Willow Herb, a unique anti-irritant, and Jojoba Leaf, a strong and effective antioxidant.

The remaining 6 products are anti-aging facial treatment product. Restorative Day Moisture Cream SPF 15 and Restorative Night Moisture Cream contain Palmitoyl Pentapeptide to minimize the appearance of fine line, and Magnolia Bark Extract to improve skin elasticity and firmness. Restorative Night Treatment contain Amino-acid derivatives, Encapsulated Vitamin A, Rice Bran Oil, and Marine Complex to help diminish the appearance of aging skin while protecting against future environmental aggresors. Antioxidant Recovery Treatment C is a powerful serum of 10% Vitamin C combined with botanicals and other antioxidants. Restorative Amino-3P Firming Treatment contain advanced forms of Amino-3P, Encapsulated Vitamin A and B5, and Palmitoyl Pentapeptide to promote skin firmness, minimize and prevent fine lines and wrinkles. Customer reviews are not associated with each individual product, instead was posted on a separate section. The web site also has an archive for the presence of their products on different media magazines and press. Clinical validation is lacking, this made their product’s effectiveness less reliable.
