Creme de la Mer Anti-Aging Review

Creme de la Mer is a luxury brand that sells a lot of products. Creme de la Mer has a long line of cosmetic and beauty products including eye treatment, moisturizers, make up, shades, creams and anti-aging lotions. The origin of Cr me de la Mer products is based on a magic broth called “Miracle Broth” created from a rare sea kelp from California.

The website does have a video on how the Miracle Broth is developed but the exact ingredients are not revealed. It is claimed that the way the sea kelp is processed is more important than the ingredients. The basics of this process was revealed on the web site involving a 3-4 month bio-fermentation of sea kelp, vitamin, minerals, essential oils, and other natural ingredients. Light and sound waves were also used to create the “Miracle Broth”. Another essential element of Creme de la Mer formula is lime peel extract loaded with extraordinary antioxidant property. A notable feature of Cr me de la Mer secret is the use of magnetized gemstones such as hematite, malachite, diamonds, sea quartz, tourmaline and pearls.

Creme de la Mer’s signature product is its Creme de la Mer moisturizing cream containing the “Miracle Broth”. This Miracle Broth is said to be suspended within the formula and it is activated and the key ingredients is released just by warming a small amount of cream between your fingertips before applied to the face. There are several version of this cream — cream, gel cream, lotion, and an oil-free version of lotion. This cream sells for $130 | 1 oz.

There are several other anti-aging eye and face treatment products in the Creme de la Mer line.  The eye concentrate aims to dissolve lines and wrinkles, dark circles, and puffiness. This product is the winner of A Redbook 2007 MVP (Most Valuable Product) Award. The Eye Concentrate is infused with three unique forms of Miracle Broth , together with hematite, a naturally magnetic mineral.

The regeneration serum sells for $250 | 1 oz. The Lifting Face Serum sells for $235 | 1 oz. The Lifting Intensifier sells for $150 | 0.5 oz. The concentrate sells for $350 | 1.7 fl. oz. The reason the regeneration serum is so expensive lies in the fact that it is a powerful anti-aging trio: a high concentrate of The Miracle Broth , The Marine Peptide Ferment and The Regenerating Ferment , infused with marine plant stem cells and colloidal gold to help diminish the appearance of lines, wrinkles and pores. The Lifting Face Serum and The Lifting Intensifier are designed to work in synergy to visibly lift the skin. This lifting pair contain a network of proteins within the Blue Algae Lift Ferment and the key ingredient Azurite as well as other precious marine proteins, sea-derived enzymes and botanicals. The concentrate is designed for use after post-procedure such as chemical peel, microdermabrasion, laser treatment to complements skin’s natural healing process. The Miracle Broth , Lime Tea, marine and plant extracts are suspended together in the Concentrate.

Beside the mention of the Miracle Broth and lime tea, there are no other key ingredients and the full ingredients list disclosed on the web site. This is unadvantage for the customers for such an expensive product. There are no testimonials nor is there any evidence from clinical trials. Over the years there have been many cosmetic products made from sea weed and sea kelps and most of them have failed to live up to expectations. At least until there is sufficient evidence on effectiveness of the product, consumers may think twice about spending this much money on any product.
