Can you incorporate rolfing in your longevity plan?
Maybe —
Rolfing, also called structural integration, is based on the theory that good health depends on proper body alignment. It is a form of deep tissue massage that is typically done over a series of sessions. Proper alignment of bone and muscle is achieved by manipulating and stretching the fibrous tissue that surrounds certain body organs (fascia), such as muscles. The effectiveness of rolfing has not been scientifically proven.
Benefits of Rolfing include:
- Improves posture and appearance
- Relieves chronic muscular tension and pain
- Accelerates recovery time from injuries
- Increases flexibility and range of motion
- Increases breathing capacity
- Helps with balance
- Refines movement so that it is efficient and graceful
- Increases self confidence and sense of stability
