Facial Exercises Tighten Sagging Skin

Facial Exercises Tighten Sagging Skin

You may be worried by sagging skin, wrinkles, crow’s feet or frown lines – probably long before you need to be.

Luckily, there’s a skin firming technique that isn’t painful and doesn’t cost a fortune – all it takes is a bit of time and concentration for a younger, fresher look.

Facial exercise is the pain free approach to skin tightening. Facial exercises increase the amount of oxygen to the facial muscles and help rejuvenate skin cells, giving your face a younger and healthier appearance.

To understand just how facial muscle exercise works, you first need to understand what wrinkles and lines are. You may assume that wrinkles are the result of the skin stretching – but the truth is that they form when the underlying muscles are no longer able to support the skin properly.

Face muscles form a cushion for the skin to rest on. It’s when our face muscles start to lose their tone that wrinkles and lines appear. Luckily facial exercise can tone up facial muscles resulting in smoother, healthier and younger looking skin.

Facial exercises have been around for much longer than facial cosmetic surgery and are proven to work when done properly. But do they actually work as well as a face lift?

You may have heard that facial exercises actually cause wrinkles. This simply isn’t true – if you do them right. It’s just like working out at the gym – follow instructions and you get the result you want.

How often have you seen the phrase “pain free face lift” or “natural face lift” and felt very skeptical. Rightly so. While facial exercises are often known as face lift exercises, the results aren’t as dramatic.

Do the exercises regularly though and the difference in your face will be obvious. Facial exercise can be a real alternative to facial cosmetic surgery – with far less pain, trauma and cost.

And – unlike facial surgery – you won’t need more painful procedures after 5-10 years as gravity undoes the work of the plastic surgeon. If you maintain your face muscles with exercise then the results will last as long as you continue to do the exercises.

Doing the right facial exercises regularly can lift and tone your whole face – including your chin, cheeks, and eyebrows – and with practice – it should take no more than half an hour of your time.

There are other benefits from facial exercise too. Exercising your facial muscles – like any exercise – brings extra oxygen to the skin’s surface reducing toxins and encouraging the delivery of essential nutrients. The result is younger looking skin that glows. You certainly won’t get that from facial surgery.

There are some downsides to facial exercise of course. You’ll need to exercise your facial muscles every day to start with at least.

Once you’ve achieved a good result then you can go into maintenance mode – exercising your facial muscles about three times a week will be enough. How long it takes to get to the optimum level of tone and lift depends on how weak your face muscles are when you start.

That may sound a lot of effort but in reality facial exercise is an activity you can carry out anywhere – without special equipment – and which will probably take around half an hour each session.

That doesn’t seem a lot for a younger look without pain and for very little cost.
